HELLO AGAIN

It has been some time since I have updated you on some of my travels and what has been going on around Ireland. When I last wrote we were having some good weather and this year we could enjoy the great long evenings. Now as I write the evenings are getting shorter and the countyside has changed colour and the magnificent cloak of white blossom on the whitethorn has now turned red with haws. The tourist season is now almost over here in Ireland for this year but there are still many events happening throughout the rest of September. I travelled far and wide throughout Irleand from south and west Cork and then through the Ring of Kerry (Iveragh Peninsula)and the Dingle Peninsula. I made many visits to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren region and spent one very wet day in Inish Mor (one of the Aran Islands). This year I made two visits into Northern Ireland but unfortunately I had little time to go sightseeing so hopefully before the year is out I will have the time to visit the Giant’s Causeway and the Antrim coastline.
It was a pleasure spending time with my many visitors here this year and I hope that many of you will be back in the near future to either revisit some of those places that you really enjoyed or to visit places that time just did not allow you to do so this year. I was also a fequent visitor to Dublin City this year and had time to visit many of the sights but more time is also needed there during the coming months. I am now trying to play catch up on notes over the past few months so I will leave you now with a picture of Trinity College in Dublin – home of course to the Book of Kells, and I will be back to you later to talk about Ardmore and Lismore and more!
